(More customer reviews)I use these for bicycle touring. They're actually a 24mm tire, and yes they do fit racing bikes. They don't fit hybrid bikes; however, the 28mm version is a perfect fit for hybrid and "real" tourbikes like Giant's OCR (can use either size with the OCR).
Anyway, I cleaned mine with Pledge/Favor after (after) install in order to stop up the pores in the rubber sidewalls. This makes them sunproof and last a long time.
There's a short break-in period. After a day or so, the speed perks up to first class. They're a bit faster than most racing tires. They're not faster than Conti GP 4000; however, the Panaracer is more durable.
The Panaracer have that necessary bit of tread to squeak the tire out of a pavement crack, which is a great feature when that day comes.
The slower wintertime version is called T-Serv, but Pasela TG is faster and more comfortable for 3 season fun.
The ride quality of Pasela Tourguard is truly high end, which is rare in a flat-free tire.
There's also a folding version available, which is good for those big tall heavy 30mm areo rims; but, if you have normal wheels, this classic wire bead version is just fine. I tried the more expensive folding version for the front wheel (where lighter makes more difference), but honestly couldn't tell any difference.
Just buy this wire bead tire. Its fine and its fast.
But, the tires themselves can tell you more than I can, since customer demand has kept these on the market for more than a decade.
