The connection hole in the light for the plug to the battery back has a rubber grommet that seals the connection for water, but it makes plugging the unit in a little hard. I wish is bought the next higher version since it had more light modes and a charger that automatically controlled the charge. Charging this unit requires you to remember to disconnect the charger after 3 hours.
