I bought this mirror because it looked very much like a Rhode Gear Mirror I have that is perfect (apparently discontinued / out of business). But of course - this was not to be. This Pyramid mirror design was obviously copied from the Rhode Gear, but as with most other mirrors, the mirror glass itself is cheap. It attempts to be wide-angle but it is also warped and wavy. This mirror is not as bad as the Zephel I got, and it is useable, but compared to the Rhode Gear I was trying to add on my other bikes it is not nearly as good.
What I like - the design is great - it is simple without being too much (like the Mirracycle), it adjusts for any angle very easily, yet with the locking thumbscrews you can hold it firmly in place. On my MTB it rises just enough to clear your left hand and give you a clear view w/o being too large.
What needs improvement - The mirror glass itself. It is wide angle (as most are) but it is also irregular / wavy. If that were improved then I could rate this much higher.
Having a good mirror is important to me - one of my pet peeves - because I have been biking for many years, and having a good mirror has saved me many times because I could see cars coming up from behind too close to me and pickup truck extension mirrors about to take me out. I cannot bike without one now - I rely on it so much.
This mirror nets out to be just average - great adjustment, good size, but poor mirror glass. I ordered 3 of them - all the same.
