(More customer reviews)I have no complaints about the break, but cross levers are pretty weak and hinder the performance a bit. I'd imagine they stop on a dime with road levers, but they're still preeeetty good otherwise and also very quiet (I had a loud, squeeky vintage side pull brake before this). Build quality is very nice; nothing cheap about them.
I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for brakes on a budget. I had late 80's dura-ace brakes on my old road bike and these O8 brakes don't leave me desiring much (except the cross lever issue), so that's quite impressive to me.
