(More customer reviews)Got this as a spare light. Has a couple of good features--two intensity modes, plus a flashing mode. The light was fairly cheap, although the price depends on the color of the housing.
Cons:
--The light is too dim to serve a useful guide-light purpose. It really is more of a safety feature so that others can see you.
--AAA batteries make the unit lighter, but they are the reason for low intensity
--The unit appeared fairly rugged until I inspected it closer--the optical assembly is attached with a cheap Philips screw and the battery assembly looks like a cheap Chinese-made toy.
--The clip-on assembly is functional, but has a flimsy feel (again, like a Chinese toy)
--The on-switch is a counter-intuitive clockwise (when looking at the light), so not the most convenient to use while moving.
Overall, a good spare light or something to clip on the kids bike when they want to visit neighbors in the evening. Would not use it as a primary light or for day-to-day commuting. Certainly not a touring light.
