(More customer reviews)I wanted a set of Look Keo pedals for my vintage steel roadbike so I can use the same shoes and cleats on all my bikes. I found these Origin 8 pedals on sale and took a chance on them. They arrived promptly and I was impressed by the packaging and appearance of the product. The pedals are well finished, bearings seem smooth and they are fairly light at 285 grams.
The cleats that come with the pedals seems to be made of a softer plastic than my Look Keo grip cleats. The supplied cleats do not have any nonslip features. I installed them on the bike and had a very difficult time "clicking in" with my Look Keo Grip cleats/ Shimano shoes. I backed off the spring tension a fair amount and repeatedly clicked in and out until they somewhat worked themselves in. I took my 1st ride and can now somewhat on a regular basis click in. The release is now too loose but I'll adjust and see if I can get these working at an acceptable level. If so they are a decent buy. My Looks worked perfectly out of the box. Time will tell if this was a good purchase or if I should have just bought another set of real Looks.
