(More customer reviews)I bought theses shoes about six months ago. They are comfortable, they're light, they look great. Here's the down side... Unfortunately, the straps are coming unglued from the velcro. These are premium shoes, I find it terrible that they are coming undone after a short while. I ride about two to three times a week. Not too hard.
I decided to buy the shoes that I really wanted and I'll keep these for spinning. They only have three holes in the sole, so I'll have to buy a cleat adapter to fasten SPDs.
Also when I first received the shoes, they had a terribly strong chemical smell, it smelled up my apartment. It's smells like what I would imagine a Chinese factory smells like, a mixture of chemicals, fish and burnt rubber.

(More customer reviews)If you need cycling shoes, and you want something of decent quality for a good price, these are a good choice. They are sturdy, fit well, and are compatible with any kind of road cleats you might want to use. (Personally, I use SPD cleats with mine, but as far as the shoes go, I could have opted for whatever kind of cleat I felt like attaching.) You can ride in these with confidence, and Pearl Izumi just generally makes good stuff, so you don't need to worry about the brand.
Their appearance is not really that attractive. I don't know why anyone would make white cycling shoes when so much cycling gear is black. The silver details look a bit cheap. So, yeah, their appearance is slightly cheesy, slightly cheap, slightly gauche -- but underneath all of that they are still good quality shoes. If you can overlook the appearance in favor of their performance and price, these shoes will serve you well.
