(More customer reviews)I am a 45-year-old male, and I am converting my mountain bike into a commuter / hybrid bicycle. I switched out the knobby tires for a more road-friendly version, and started looking to replace the aging Vetta seat that was killing my butt. My round-trip commute is only about 16 miles that I try to do at least once a week.
I narrowed my choices down to the Planet Bike Comp and the Sportourer XRace. I wanted a nice-looking seat that wasn't like a foot wide. I chose to try out the XRace first because it had a sleeker look to it. I never bothered with trying out the Comp, because the XRace turned out to be completely comfortable and exactly what I wanted in a gel seat.
It is very comfy, and I attained better results after tilting the seat forward a little bit to be more in line with my leaned-over riding position. I highly recommend this seat for its comfort and its looks.
This is my first web review of any product EVER, and I just want to say thanks to everyone else who provides reviews. I find them extremely helpful for making decisions, and Amazon is a great place to search for product reviews.
