When I bought them, I was a little worried that they would flex and rub the tires, but after years of tough use they're still rigid and I've had no rubbing issues. I'm tough on my bike- it's a hybrid/comfort bike and I sometimes take it down stone steps at the park and over roots on dirt trails. I've had no problems with the fenders at all, and would recomend them to anyone!
