(More customer reviews)I bought Schwalbe Marathon Plus when my last tire blew out on a packed gravel trail. Riding on the Schwalbe gives me a piece of mind. Its ride quality is very pleasant and reassuring.
The 700X45C is ideal for the gravel surface. The tires are just wide enough so that it does not sink very far into loose gravel. On a harder flat surface such as asphalt, the contact area is very narrow. Because of this it glides over the flat surface with surprisingly little rolling resistance. Thus far, I have put on several hundred miles on this set of tires and I am loving it.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus RLX Bicycle Tires are designed for extended durability and outstanding performance. The SmartGuard layer made from a flexible, special rubber offers particular resistance to shards of glass and flints. The SmartGuard belt does not increase rolling resistance.
