Road bicycle riders: Do you get blisters on your hands from supporting your upper body on your bike's handlebars? Do you find that padded handlebar tape isn't padded enough? Do you wear padded half-finger gloves to avoid the pain and blisters? I answered yes to all three, though I didn't much like wearing sweaty, tight-fitting racing gloves, and they didn't give me enough padding either.
I was pleased to find these closed-cell foam handlebar grips. I'd had a set on a previous bicycle, but could no longer find them in bike shops. They're tough and long lasting, hold their shape, don't absorb water, and will make bicycling comfortable once again. They don't fall apart like tape can, either. They seem to be made of neoprene like my last set, though it is not stated on the package. Black plastic end plugs are included.
Installation is easy--remove your old tape & brake handles, soap up the bars and slide them on, then insert the end plugs. They come in four pieces, to fit around your brake handles & stem, and can be cut to size if necessary.
