(More customer reviews)Love Nathan's belt for long runs, as it secures nicely and has adequate storage. The water bottles do tend to leak out of the spout over time, requiring they be replaced. Also, cleaning the bottles and spout system is a bit of a chore. Overall, I prefer Nathan's system to others, but water bottles could be improved.
I was unable to locate just the replacement water bottles at any sporting goods stores or speciality running stores in my area. I didn't want to replace whole belt, hence my reason for purchasing on-line. I was disappointed to see the replacement bottles at a recent expo for a local race. I wish I would have waited, and saved the money for shipping and handling.

Nathan Stainless Steel 700 mL Flip Straw Bottle Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted a bottle with a simple slim shape that could fit as easily in a backpack side pocket, work messenger bag, bike messenger bag, or clip to a belt or bag loop. I didn't want a weird curve like the Klean Kanteens, or some weirdo laminate that has to be treated baby-soft gentle.
I really didn't want a sip-top like a cheap plastic bike bottle either where you have to suck down water (seems like it'd be hard in a stainless steel vessel and it's hard to keep those tops from getting odors).
The sippy-straw top is fantastic. There's a sealed-hole at the top so you can sip your water without that weird vacuum effect you usually have with strawish tops. It's also really sturdy and already has taken a bit of a beating.
The most awesome part about the top is that the belt clip flips the straw up so if your hands are dirty, you never have to actually touch your drinking straw. Great if you're out in the wilderness or been spending a lot of time holding on subway poles.
The bottle isn't insulated so if your drink is cold, your hands freeze and your drink gets warm fast. I had it filled with ice and water in my office, and within the hour it all melted (get a coaster). On my bike, it was tepid by the time I got home.
The paint is already chipping at the bottom and it's only been a few days, so I can't imagine the enamel being that durable in the long run.

This makes it virtually effortless to carry because you don't even have to hold on. I love it and I even bought another one for my dad who is also a runner. The band that goes around the back of your hand is very comfortable and stays in place very well. The pocket on the front works great for car keys and is even big enough for my asthma inhaler. Also, the water bottle comes out of the holder very easily and you can use other water bottles with the holder. Very nice for when one is dirty. Overall I have no complaints and it is a great product.
