(More customer reviews)After reviewing the bike on several sites, I decided to purchase the one offered on Amazon. The picture was not accurate to the actual bike once received. The picture seems to show a 3 piece crank instead of the 1 piece that it came with and the frame seems tubular rather than flat as it came. The description was not very detailed on Amazon's site and instead I bought based on the picture a little more than I probably should have. The bike is solid and all the parts were working. My son loves it and doesn't know any better - just something to pass on to future buyers.

(More customer reviews)Bike came, double boxed, very well protected. I was amazed how easily it went together. All the major parts (brakes, shifter, etc) were mounted and pre-adjusted.
The kickstand is aluminum with a nice hard plastic 'foot' on the end. It is more than adequate for supporting the bike and much nicer than some of the black steel ones like you see on Diamondback or Mongoose.
No regrets here!

(More customer reviews)My wife & I are avid cyclists, so for my son's 9th birthday, we bought him his own road bike! I am very pleased with the bike! I am somewhat of a bike mechanic, so putting it together was very easy, and simple. I did however, have to adjust the brakes, and now they work wonderfully. I also added brake levers on the handle bars (cross inline levers), and that was a great safety net. I also replaced the two tires with 24" x 1" wheel chairs tires, and tubes, and they fit and work wonderfully. All total, I have spent less than $175.00 on his road bike, and We are very pleased with it!
