(More customer reviews)Not a bad seat but I sent it back. Turns out the less padding seat that came with my Raleigh 2 road bike was more comfy than this padded one. Instead of getting a partially soft seat like this, either get some padded shorts like you're supposed to or get the most fluffiest padded gel seat you can find. Anything in between will hurt you in between...lol. This is Raleigh bicycles brand of parts, by the way.

Schwinn Adult Ergonomic Bicycle Saddle Review

(More customer reviews)I had one of these on my road bike for about two years. In that time, I probably rode about 1000 miles, generally doing 10-30 miles/ride.
This seat can be extremely comfortable, and for the price, is definitely a good deal. Most riders will certainly get their money's worth.
Many of the other negative reviews on here describe exactly what I noticed with this seat before I adjusted it properly, which takes a lot of trial and error. Because it is so soft, when you depress it, you don't end up exactly where you expect to, so you may end up aligning it a different position than you think you initially should. For me, I had to tilt it back about 10 degrees from level. After that, it was EXTREMELY comfortable. I can ride 50 miles and feel quite cozy.
The negatives I see with this are durability related. The outer fabric is pretty cheap, and after getting it wet with sweat or rain, it will eventually pull free of the inner, rubberrized layers. You'll start to see "blisters" in the fabric, and soon after, the covering will tear free. I think what causes this is that the Schwinn logo on the side is a bit sticky and will tug on the cover as your shorts slide over it. The other is that the seat is a bit wide for a road bike (good for a mountain bike) which may cause you to pinch the front of the seat with your thighs as you peddle.
If you are looking into other options, I would recommend the Nashbar 2x Sport Saddle for a few dollars more. It is very similar to this one but narrower, more rounded, and more durable. It is however, not as soft as this one, which may be good or bad for you.
In summary:
Pros: This saddle is among the most comfortable you can find for under $75 (once adjusted properly).
Cons: Durability questionable over time. A bit heavy compared to "serious" road bike seats.

(More customer reviews)I have owned this saddle only for a few weeks, so maybe it has yet to become softer as some reviewers have stated here on amazon. Right now, it is pretty hard on my bottom, but I absolutely prefer it to the thicker and wider saddle that came with my Schwinn Trailway. This saddle looks very nice, very "pro" and is a beautiful addition to my bicycle. I only wish it were a bit softer because my posterior does get sore after an hour or so. But hey, there is no perfect saddle, and for the price it costs, one cannot ask for much better. PS: With this narrow saddle, I don't have my inner thighs rubbing against the saddle anymore when I am pedaling, which is absolutely a plus.

Velo Bio:Logic Bicycle Saddle Review

(More customer reviews)I replaced a well broken in Brooks B 17 saddle with this. I spend long hours touring on the bicycle. I found myself standing often on long rides(2-5 hrs) to relieve sit bone pressure. There was also a chafing problem on long tours that required the use of butt cream.
The Velo came to my attention while questioning a Dallas bicycle patrolman about his saddle. Said it was stock issue for the department, he spent about 6 hours a day on it, and that it was "OK."
After about 50 hours of riding the Velo, I've decided that it may a better fit for my rear than the Brooks. Don't have to stand as often, no chafing, and it's water proof. Don't expect it to last as long, but what saddle will? Plus, I can buy 4 Velo's for the price of a B 17.
Just not near as classy looking as the Brooks.

Avenir Men's 100 Series Hybrid Saddle (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the seat to replace my ripped Zefal seat I had on my road bike. It's a pretty comfortable seat but seems to be a little too "squishy" which causes me to shift too much. It's better to get a slightly firmer seat than you think. If you can easy compress the seat with your hands, it's too soft. Remember, you way a lot more than the force you can get from your hands. For the time being I will stick with this but I do plan on upgrading soon. Not bad for the money.
