Shimano HG50 7-Speed 13-26 Cassette Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this 13-26 cassette to replace one on an older 7 speed road bike. The cogs on the HG50 are a dull black finish, not shiny metallic like components from Shimano's pricier groups. It fit onto the modern Shimano 9 speed rear hub I'm using with the help of some spacers to make up the difference. Works fine with the indexed shifting and the existing Shimano Hyperglide chain. FYI: the 13 tooth cog is a distinct piece - the other 6 gears are a single unit. Cassette comes with a lock ring in a black finish.

If you don't want to spend tons of money on a spare, or in my case a climbing cassette, then this is the way to go.
I have had no problems with shifting and would purchase an alternate sized cassette again.
