(More customer reviews)These are heavy duty tubes. I did not expect them to be as thick as they are and I mean they are thick. I installed these tubes on two of my bikes so far but haven't had a chance to go for a long ride yet. But I didn't have any problems with installation. I removed the original tubes and installed these and I used one of the ORIGINAL tubes as a spare in case I do have a flat. I would not use one of these as a spare as they are about the weight of three regular tubes combined.

I have a Burley trailer that uses 20x1.75 tubes and even ordered tubes for it as I don't want any flats. And even if I do these are so thick that I could probably run the tires flat and still keep going.
I was leary about ordering these at first but at this time I am very please with this product. Just take your time and make sure that the tire seats itself properly on the rim and I would recommend these to others and I will also update my review of them after I get some miles on these tubes.
Since these tubes are so thick and heavy it might take some more effort to pedal because of the rotational force that is involved. I don't think I would use these on my road bike because of that. But for the commuter bike that I plan on riding to work (7 miles one way) or the bike for pulling by trailer it won't matter that much to me. I don't want to fix a flat. If you are planning on riding a long distance (10 to 20 miles or more) stay with the lighter tubes and just carry a spare tube in case you have a flat. It will take more effort to pedal but you won't be fixing flats all the time.UPDATE....I had these for five months and the problem that I have had was that the brass is not sealed to the rubber as it should and the air is leaking out around it. I don't know of anyway to seal this so the tube is trashed. This is the first time that I have had any problems with the filler valves messing up.

(More customer reviews)So far so good with my first trial of these tubes. I've only gone a couple hundred miles on them, but I can say with certainty that the smooth valve stem is an absolute must. I tried them because of that after 3 flats in a row on Bontrager super lights all failing at the valve stem area. I recommend based on performance so far. No flat and they hold air well (I run at 110 to 120 psi).

(More customer reviews)Price was right considering prime shipping saved me money over driving to a distant bike store. Don't care for the size when having to carry a spare; but little option there. Was disappointed somewhat in the fit of the last tube I installed - the thorn resistant portion of the tube didn't fit well against the outside of the tire, tending to spin to the sidewall.

(More customer reviews)Have always had problems with my sons bike tires holding air. I replaced his tubes with these because they are thicker walled and should in theory slow down air loss. So far, so good. Been about a month now since initially airing them up and the tires feel almost as firm as they did at the beginning. I checked the old tubes for air leaks and they didn't have any, they just would not hold air pressure adequately and
had to be aired up often.

Butyl TUBE PV Light 60mm Review

(More customer reviews)I have used the Conti Race 700 tubes for many years and, everytime I've tried to go lighter I've come back because all of my experience with significantly lighter tubes (50-75 grams) have been very poor. These tubes may not be the lightest at 90-102 grams but they are very, very long lasting (for me, typically 4000 miles each) with the majority of failures being in the stem base eventually separating after many miles of use. Not to be cute, but I've stemmed the problem by holding onto the value nut while removing my tire pump and, with this technique, hope that even this failure can be reduced because, doing it this way, should reduce the stress inherent in tire pump removal.
You can't go wrong with these beauties.
