(More customer reviews)These tires work well for an every day commuter. The width is good for riding on bad streets, but are still narrow enough to allow for plenty of speed. They are an excellent value for folding tires. they have minimal tread, which i find to be the best for most conditions. Aesthetically they are appealing to those who like plain black tires, and they don't even have a multicolor label. They are also made in japan, which is a plus in my book.

(More customer reviews)So far so good with my first trial of these tubes. I've only gone a couple hundred miles on them, but I can say with certainty that the smooth valve stem is an absolute must. I tried them because of that after 3 flats in a row on Bontrager super lights all failing at the valve stem area. I recommend based on performance so far. No flat and they hold air well (I run at 110 to 120 psi).

(More customer reviews)It's been a few months since I threw these on both my bike and my wife's. So far we've had no flats, and that includes a lot of curb-hopping, and riding on everything from gravel to urban streets to lawns (shhh, don't tell).
If the majority of your riding is on the asphalt and concrete these tires are a terrific way to improve your rolling resistance. They're a breeze on packed dirt, too. I also find them aesthetically pleasing; the tread looks nicer than some of the more expensive tires, and the logo treatment on the side walls is tasteful and timeless.
Just one word of warning; I read a review somewhere before purchasing these that they out rode some knobbies in gravel. I find this highly unlikely. My first week or so on these I came tearing into some gravel at a little bit of an angle and woah, boy, did that get my heart rate up.
Also, I can only give the tires four stars because, while I haven't had any flats, they offer no flat protection.
Overall this is a great, cheap way for you to speed up a mountain bike, and stave off those urges you get every time you stroll by that road cycle in the bike shop.

(More customer reviews)I put 700+ recreational road miles on these tires and there are still many, many miles left in them. They roll great, grip well in dry conditions (I didn't do a lot of wet riding this year so I can't comment on the wet performance) and provide a stable ride mile after mile. No flats or other problems. Overall I'm glad I selected these tires. When they need replacement, I'm definitely putting another set of Contis on my ride.

Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Bicycle Tire Review

(More customer reviews)I just finished 2000 miles (rear tire) on one of these and couldn't be happier. I bought another one for replacement and could not mount it onto my wheel. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that this Krylion that I had just bought had a slightly thicker bead than my other one (bought about 1 year ago) and was made in Taiwan instead of France. I ended up putting this tire on a different bike since I could not mount it on my Campy wheel (after destroying 3 tubes and 3 tire levers). I'm sure the "new" Krylion will otherwise be as good as my last one, but I don't think I will buy these again- at least not for this bike.

I had put 1,500 miles on them before I tried to ride a 10 mile stretch of a gravel trail with them at about 20 mph average and popped the bead on the rear tire. I bought this tire to replace the one I had damaged. For the price these worked very well for me in the past and I wanted to continue using this model. I have only put about 200 miles on the new tire but so far so good.
