(More customer reviews)Nice tires, good replacements for most newer model kids road bikes. Be sure you get the size right there are several different bead diameters for 24" wheeled kids road bikes. The selection in each of the various sizes is pretty limited. These are some of the better tires I found in the ISO 520 bead diameter. They are on par with lower end adult road tires in the $15-25 price range.

(More customer reviews)Have put nearly 2000 miles on these and they still have usable tread left. As long as you keep them inflated properly the colored portion lasts for a long time, still have plenty of color left on the yellow ones I'm riding on right now. I commute to work with these tires and go through a lot of road debris but have not had a single puncture yet with these. The ride quality isn't the best but for the price it's just fine and they corner better than other tires I've used in the same price range. Definitely buying another set of these soon, great deal!

Now they carry the tires scrunched-up in a little box for $13.00 - $15.00. These Kenda tires arrived in large boxes with the tires barely packed out of shape. They went on the rims with no tools whatsoever and appear to be a great tire for the price. Nice refelective side walls and a nice rain-groove pattern as well.

(More customer reviews)Great tire for those who use their mountain bikes on the roads and want to ride fast. VERY difficult to mount, broke a few levers and pinched a couple of tubes trying to mount them (I'll admit I'm not the best at this sort of thing but I'm no wimp either), and had given up on using them (I could see myself fighting to take the tire off the rim and then getting stranded with a couple of pinched tubes and broken levers, Murphy's Law, you know...), read in some bike magazine that if you put the tires in the drier for a minute it makes the tires easier to mount (I had to do this a little longer, first minute was too little for my tires), and this was the case (BUT, do at your own risk, I've been riding the tires for a few hundred miles and it's been fine). Other than this, very fast tire, I'm able to ride with roadies, although I suspect that the rolling resistance is a tad higher than a top road clincher. Be careful on wet downhills, I felt my tires skid a bit (slick and hard, with rain, you can guess how that's going to feel).

(More customer reviews)I replaced the stock knobbies with these"hybrids".What a difference.I knew they would roll easier than the stock ones but I had no idea how big of a difference there would be.I have a bike computer and I went from averaging 9 mph to 12 mph.I have had them for only one week so can't say how long they will last but the rubber seams to be pretty hard and durable.The picture amazon shows is not what they look like.They have different tread than what is shown.You can do a google image search to see the real thing.

(More customer reviews)I bought two pairs of these to outfit two vintage touring bikes for use on gravel and grassy trails as well as paved roads. The tires perform very well on gravel and reasonably smooth hiking trails. At 70 psi, there is only a small penalty in rolling resistance on paved roads compared to higher pressure road tires. The size runs a little small; they actually measure just barely 1 1/4 inch wide and nowhere near the 37 mm metric equivalent on the sidewall. (The old 1 1/8 inch tires actually measured 1 1/8 inch wide on these rims.) Overall, I am happy with both the tires and the reasonable price.

Schwalbe HS 159 Tire - 27 x 1-1/4, Black/Whitewall Review

(More customer reviews)I commute by bicyle year-round and needed some new tires for the non-winter seasons. I thought I would give these tires a try because of the name Schwalbe and low price.
Pros:
cheap
durable (no flats, but I ride mostly on clear, paved roads with minimal glass or pot holes)
sturdy sidewalls, flat protection
the ride is smooth overall, but not too snappy
I don't mind the white sidewall look.
Cons:
Definitely heavier than the tires they replaced even though they are both the same size (27 x 1 1/4), they probably weigh close to 900g per tire.
They are on the sluggish side, most likely due to the weight and the sidewall isn't very suppleOverall, buy these if you want a cheap durable tire that is likely as good as similar tires from companies like Continental or Vittoria. They are best suited for casual riding because of the weight. They are not light-weight performance tires. Great commuter or all-around tires (even if you occasionally stray from the paved roads). Poor race tires due to weight.
Note: I have not had a flat in about 4 months of daily riding, but I live in western NY where we don't have any bull heads or other common flat culprits.

Schwalbe Marathon Cross HS 334 Trekking/Road Bike Tire (700x38, Allround Wire Beaded, Reflex) Review

(More customer reviews)This is an extremely versatile tire. It rides well on pavement and is fine for moderate off-road conditions. I've used Michelin City Tires, which are outstanding on pavement but, like any slick tire, are out of their element off-road. I had the Michelins mounted on my MTB and quickly became frustrated with the road tire's limitations whenever I wanted to take an alternate path or trail. The Marathon Cross's are an ideal compromise; they roll well on pavement, not quite as "fast" as the Michelins, but are also capable of handling dirt & gravel trails. Like the Michelins, they have a puncture-resistant belt and a reflective ring; both a huge benefit for commuting or touring.
The only negative is that they are quite difficult to install. The tires have been flat free for 900 miles, but I certainly don't look forward to changing a tube on the road.

this exceptionally lightweight clincher is basically an open tubular made by hand in italy and available in a few nice colours. its weight is lighter than most racing clinchers out there and because of its minimal material it does wear faster than other tires will but surprisingly it has, after thousands of miles still doing what it does best which is to roll like a professional racing tire should.
very low rolling resistance and very lightweight makes this rubber an absolute pleasure for climbing and acceleration.
fabulous tire.
if you do any urban riding i recommend using these tires with a mister tuffy tube liner to avoid punctures. havent had any problems in that department though so i give this tire my full recommendation.
